thoughts about teaching

 Current thoughts teaching

So I have had some ups and downs with teaching. I have been removed from a 6th grade math classroom. I could not handle the behaviors. Other teachers yelled at their students. I do not yell at my students. I do not think that was a good fit.
I've been a math teacher at a GED program. I was told I was allowing too many students to pass the official math test. That blew my mind. And I experienced a very unprofessional behavior and toxic work environment from my supervisor. I enjoyed working with the students, and the staff was tolerable. So I resigned. Throughout these experiences I've also been a substitute. I am still looking for a place where I fit in, and help my students achieve at high levels mathematically.
I don't know if a "regular" math classroom with 30 to 35 students is where I'm a good fit. I believe there are a lot of students who struggle with math. I've been told I'm a pretty good helper for some of those students in the past. I'm trying to figure out if there are other options. I'm open to suggestions.ideas.
